I have discovered strawberry heaven. It is:

1 pint local fresh strawberries
whatever alpine strawberries you can find in your garden
dressed with a smidgen of lemon juice, elderflower cordial, honey, and a bit of homemade peach liqueur (or red wine).

okay, so I cheated and bought a huge gorgeous tomato plant loaded with baby green tomatoes at the farmer's market a few weeks ago. but still...the first tomato of the season.....it makes me happy!!!
