I got the BEST deal on sock yarn, from someone's destash sale. Do I NEED more sock yarn? Uh...no. but it was such a good deal I couldn't resist. Enough sock yarn for six pairs....all from knitpicks (I know they aren't fancy or upscale, but i DO like their stuff...especially their baby alpaca yarn, yumma!!!!!!!), shipping included, for 12 dollars. YAY me!

Now...If you'll excuse me, i have a LOT of knitting to do....

Socks! I am obsessed with socks. And spinning. i guess I shoudl take some pics of my yarn, so that you know I do in fact spin, and do some things other than knit socks. :)

I finished my socks for my sockret pal - as soon as this blizzard quits messing up my life, I'll get those in the mail!

and I made these pretty pink socks with yarn I got from my awesome sockret pal! It's artyarns Ultramerino 4, color 112, and I knit them with size 1 needles. (They're a bit snug - size 2's, or an other few stitches cast on would have been better, but they're fine). It is the Conwy pattern from Nancy Bush's "Knitting on the road" book. i LOVE this pattern. Does anyone know a similar pattern? I'd love to do another one that is similar to this. The teensy cables are just adorable.

We've got this blizzard heading our way here. Right now, it's just raining like mad - actual lightning and thunder too, which is a wee bit weird when it's 34 degrees out and there's tons of snow on the ground. Anyway, I'm not even trying to go into work...as soon as the temp drops it's gonna get icy, then there's going to be a ton of snow dumped on us. Fun, fun. I did, however, run to the grocery store for essentials. While everyone else was stocking up on bread and milk, I got: Coffee (which I don't usually get from the grocery store because I am a coffee snob, but I am out!!!), Jim Beam (Because what is a blizzard without whiskey sours?) and chocolate. Yup, the essentials!
