My Sockret Pal is such a sweetie - look at this great stuff I got in the mail last weekend! 2 hanks of artyarns ultramerino4, Size 2 dps, super cute little notecards with my initial, some page-markers, and postit-notes, plus a really nice card! I'm pondering what pattern to use for this yarn - it's really nice and feels very soft! any suggestions, anyone? Thanks, pal - I love it ALL! :)

I don't know if you're into plain socks or not, but I've seen some pretty artyarn socks in plain St st. I believe Thuja from knitty is in artyarn too. I am going to make a pair of gauntlets for my SIL in some supermerino and am thinking about doing the illusion cable from Black Dog designs (http://designsbyblackdog.blogspot.com/2006/09/illusions-i-love-cables-i-really-do.html) on the top of them, although I haven't swatched yet to see how it looks... Good luck, the yarn looks like it would brighten the coldest Iowa weather!
I actually tend to go for plain socks...but that is an awesome design, thank you for telling me about it!
