This is how we celebrated Fat Tuesday - a world-class Hurricane! Actually, it was not quite as good as our usual ones, as we were out of blackstrap rum AND 151 rum. So it was only a 4-rum hurricane, instead of six. 
And - my wonderful new stove!!! For $65 this gorgeous flat-top stove is mine all mine! It's about a million times better than the old clunker I've been cooking on for years. I LOVE craigslist! Labels: craigslist, hurricanes

Wow! You got a deal! I love my flat top stove. Just don't make fudge on it and have it boil over by mistake. I know this is bad. Very bad. 'nuff said.
My sister said something, and now I"m worried. I DO tend to boil things over (I am a messy cook). And here I thought these were really easy to clean!! eek!
Most boil-overs are fine. Fudge is not. Neither is marmalade. Anything with high sugar content is bad. Messy, nasty, lengthy cleaning job. Requires razor blades. Ugh.
