Madder root is an absolutely amazing dyeplant. My favorite dyebook told me to be ready with lots of dyestuff when firing up a pot of madder root dye. It was NOT kidding. I've dyed yarn (hemp/cotton blend), cotton hankies, and oooooooodles of silk hankies, shawls and scarves with this one pot. I'm on at least the 5th round and it's still going strong. Look for lots of madder-dyed goods in my etsy store!
