i love this scarf. I made it using a really random assortment of yarns - the "base" is a black chenille i got from a deconstructed sweater. The other yarns are: some handspun, naturally dyed silk, some rainbow ribbon, lots of end-bits of recycled sari silk yarn, and some purple/blue/teal hand-dyed chenille. it's colorful and super-soft. I knit it lengthwise on size 13 circs, 100 stitches, and left LONG strings at each end for the fringe.

That's an awesome scarf. I use that method too. Makes for a fast, fun to knit and cute scarf. ;)
